This is where my husband Luke spends all of his time at the moment, in the driving seat of a combine harvester. I am not sure how he manages this for the hours he does as after twenty minutes in the cabin I start feeling dizzy and my eyeballs have dried out from the air conditioning. There is something incredibly hypnotic about the header turning and the dust and chaff floating out.
What a cool machine!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, this SOOO reminds me of when we were kids.....
ReplyDeleteRemember sitting in the trailer following the combine when Will collected the grain & Grandad combined wearing his old mac tied up with a bit of bailing twine? & sitting in the barn when the grain was tipped out? Wriggling our toes in it like paddling in water? Or being on the back of the bailer, playing with all the bits of straw?
So many memories....... Loads of love Xxxxxxxxx
ha! I don't envy him at all kim .. my eyes would be itchy as anything .. mind you it could be cool fun to take the harvester for a spin .. no?!
